Actually he has a lot of problems with Pain. A life as a stage destroying PA burning maniac has not been kind to his back or his joints. I'm no personal friend of Raymond, but we have spoken about his pain problems a good bit. If you recall the slipped disc episode from the KMFDM Beat by Beat tour (It's on the Video a bit), that still gives him a lot of trouble. Don't get me wrong, I'm pretty damn sure at this point he is addicted to pain killers and some other recreational activities that are quite honestly getting in the way of his being more productive as a musician, but it's not all punkrawkfucktawk he actually had some legitimate reasons to get into some of these hobbies. It really is a damn shame, I honestly feel he is the most brilliant underappreciated artist in modern music. Particularly if you delve into the depths of his older and more experimental PIG work. I really hope he come together with Sascha to work on the new and recently de-FUBAR'd KMFDM album.

...yeah, that about sums it up. Ray's a cool druggie, though. You know, something to aspire to. I wanna be just like him when I grow up.

I was talking with Bear from Bile a few months after the WWIII show had ended and we were speaking about Raymond. Bear ended up saying that Ray is a really nice guy but "the man is like a pharmacy". lol. I will never forget that quote. I think tht's a sure sign that Ray is way too drugged up and fucked up. I love it!

Has anyone here ever had the chance to meet Raymond? If so, what was it like?

My friend and I were lucky enough to catch him and get a picture a couple minutes before he had to leave. We also had the honor of watching him down shots at the bar and drunkenly ramble on about not doing body signings.

And he wouldn’t sell his hat to me for a dollar. How he could refuse such a generous offer, I don’t know…
