Re: Watts
Fri, July 9, 2004 - 8:18 AMNaturally, it isn't up to par with any PIG releases, but it's a pretty good album with some damn catchy songs. It definitely has a more stripped down sound than anything else Raymond's done.
Anyway, it's worth the price of admission just for "Situation" and "Kundalini". -

Re: Watts
Fri, July 9, 2004 - 8:53 AMI've heard the price of admission isn't so much the problem. Actually getting it shipped to you after you have ordered is. ;) -

Re: Watts
Fri, July 9, 2004 - 2:50 PMYea, over at the sickcity.com theres some horror stories about getting it shipped to your house. That's just bullshit, if you ask me. Katelyn, is it as good as the good Pig releases...like "Wrecked"? -

Re: Watts
Fri, July 9, 2004 - 5:35 PMI guess I shouldn’t compare the two, since they’re different projects, but in my opinion, no, it’s not quite as good. But hey, that’s just me: I’m a sucker for the over-the-top orchestral sound. So Watts is a little like diluted PIG. The album’s still good, though. -

Re: Watts
Sun, July 11, 2004 - 12:40 AMha ha! Luck came my way tonight! I found this fucker of an album on slsk! I've listened to most of it and for the most part, I like it. I like it just because it's a cool, accessible, heavy album. It's still Industrial, but really toned down compared to Pig. Is it as good as Pig? No. But everyone knew it wouldn't be as soon as he said it wasn't going to be a Pig release. Some tracks like HERE TO STAY actually seem like he could release them as singles and actually get them on the charts. That's how accesible most of it is.
Katelyn, I think you said it best in your last post: "...Watts is a little like diluted Pig. The album is still good, though."
Exactly how I feel.
7/10 based on what i've heard so far.
All in all, I definitely do like it and it'll be in full rotation in my car over the next few weeks.
